A Breeze of Nostalgia
Maybe I’m over-exaggerating, but isn’t it true that the Coimbatore breeze is so much softer, tender, and cooler than the Chennai breeze—especially in the morning, especially now in this season? I got down at Gandhipuram earlier this morning at 6 AM, and wow, I’ve been smiling ever since. When you’re familiar with a place, isn’t it amazing how even the breeze on your face feels familiar? The roads, the streets, the people, the shops—they all seem to wink at me with a warm, welcoming smile.
It’s as if they’re asking me, "Where have you been?" I stepped into the nearest Annapoorna and had my morning filter coffee—"Anna, oru filter coffee, extra strong, sugar kamiya!" The aroma and delicacy of it still linger with my senses, even though it’s been an hour now.
The sun is out, and along with the cool breeze, when its rays caress my skin, I feel like my best self. We often tend to overlook these things, you know? We’re always so preoccupied that we forget to pause and appreciate simple, familiar, and comforting moments like this. So peeps, please, take a moment alone—breathe in the air around you, feel everything deeply, absorb it all, and treasure these everyday joys of life. One day, you might leave your town, and then you’ll realize how the little things always mattered more than the big moments.
